Donations and Bequests

DONATIONS

The Meredith Historical Society is a 501(C)(3) non-profit, charitable organization founded in 1950. The Society is largely funded through donations from individuals who love  Meredith.

If you would like to make a donation to the Historical Society, you may do so either by credit card or by check. Credit card donations may be made by clicking on the “Make a Donation” button at the bottom of the page. Checks should be made out to Meredith Historical Society and mailed to:

PO Box 920, Meredith, NH 03253.

These donations are crucial to enabling us to maintain our two historic buildings (the 208 year old Main Street building and the 2019 year old Meetinghouse/Farm Museum on Winona Road) while also perpetuating the history of Meredith for future generations to come.

BEQUESTS

Support for the Meredith Historical Society through a bequest or other planned gift is another wonderful, long-term way to help us fulfill the mission. Whatever the size of your estate, planning is essential to ensure that the goals you set for your assets are met. Planned giving can take many forms, including a bequest to the Society. The Society can be named as a beneficiary of a retirement account, a life insurance policy, a charitable annuity, a charitable remainder or lead trust, or even the remainder interest in real property.

Depending upon your interests and particular situation, there could be financial and/or tax benefits that result from making a planned gift. Whatever your plans, please consult with your estate planner and/or attorney to explore these opportunities.
